When Salt Media won the contract to publish The Trencherman's Guide in 2009, it was a small guide with a big history, having been developed as a fine dining guide to the South West by the likes of Michael Caines and Rick Stein over 17 years. Salt Media increased the entries in the guide (inclusion is by invitation based on strict criteria) by 20 per cent and created a logo, and on the printed guide, increased production values and introduced original cover art from South West artists. We've also created an online Trencherman's community through the introduction of a website, Facebook and Twitter pages and email newsletters. Sponsors now include the likes of Moët Hennessey and Audi, and the annual Launch Lunch and Autumn Lunch are key highlights of South West restaurateurs' calendars.
